George “Orge” Kalodimas is a tattoo artist whose work transforms skin into body armor; geometry, discipline, and chaos are harnessed into order. Raised in Sparta and Athens, his roots instilled in him two guiding forces: Spartan discipline and Athenian creativity.

His journey began in 2005 as an apprentice to Sake, and by 2007, he was fully immersed in geometric tattooing. As one of the founding members of the legendary Sake Tattoo Crew in Greece, George quickly gained worldwide recognition, earning more than 50 awards at international tattoo conventions across Europe, Asia, and the U.S.

Since 2015, he has split his time between Europe and the U.S., working guest spots and conventions in New York and Los Angeles, building a reputation for speed, precision, and large-scale vision. In 2023, he opened his private studio, As Above Tattoo, on Long Island, NY. In 2025, he joined Monolith, one of the best tattoo studios in the world.

George is internationally renowned for his spiritual mandalas and his sold-out Solstice Mandala book, the result of a six-month ritual in which he created one mandala every day for the entire solstice. He has since published five more sketchbooks, multiple limited-edition prints, and is preparing his second hardcover, The Ten Years of Solstice.

Beyond tattooing, he has expanded into photography and filmmaking, sharpening his eye and documenting his path of constant learning. Born a U.S. citizen through his mother from New York, and raised in Sparta, George embodies both mentalities: New York’s ambition and Sparta’s discipline. With his wife Aleksandra, he continues to explore the world as a library of inspiration: from the Himalayas to Zion, from ancient ruins to modern cities.

For George, discipline is freedom, and tattoos are a form of armor. Every line is a weapon against chaos. Every piece is built to outlast time.
