STAY HYDRATED

Consuming water and maintaining proper hydration are essential for your skin's well-being and can facilitate the tattooing process, enhancing your overall experience.

Ensure you consume adequate water during the week prior to your session. Properly hydrated skin shows greater resilience and accepts ink more effectively, resulting in a more brilliant and enduring tattoo. This sets the foundation for a tattoo that maintains its appearance for years to come.

EAT WELL

Having a nourishing meal before your appointment is essential for maintaining steady energy levels. Reduced blood sugar may lead to lightheadedness or weakness during the tattooing session. Furthermore, receiving a tattoo while hungry can intensify the discomfort. Select a meal with substantial protein and complex carbohydrates.

REFRAIN FROM CONSUMING ALCOHOL OR DRUGS

Avoid alcohol or drugs for at least 24 hours prior to your session. Alcohol and certain substances can thin your blood, causing excessive bleeding throughout the tattooing procedure (if you're on any blood-thinning medication, please notify me).

This may disrupt my process and extend the healing timeline. Instead, maintain a clear mind and a healthy body for optimal outcomes.

TATTOO PREPARATIONS

DRESS IN COMFORTABLE CLOTHING

Select clothing that provides me with convenient access to the location being tattooed. If you're receiving a tattoo on your arm, choose a sleeveless or loose-fitting shirt. For a leg tattoo, shorts or relaxed pants work well. Comfort matters significantly as some appointments can extend several hours, and you'll want to prevent unnecessary discomfort from constricting clothing. I would appreciate it if you came in black clothing without big patterns for photography.

If partial undressing is required for the tattoo, don't be concerned. My studio will ensure appropriate privacy through the use of separators.

SKIN CARE

Please don't apply lotion, oil, or other skincare items to the location to be tattooed on your appointment day. Clean and dry skin works best for the tattoo procedure as it helps the stencil stick correctly and enables the ink to enter the skin uniformly.

Skipping any creams also stops them from mixing with the ink, resulting in improved healing outcomes.

REFRAIN FROM SUN EXPOSURE

Sunburned or tanned skin can create complications during the tattoo procedure. Compromised and sensitive, sunburned skin can heighten pain and make healing more difficult. To safeguard your skin if you must be outdoors before your appointment, apply sunscreen and wear protective clothing over the area.
